Workstation Finance is more than just a professional network; it’s a reflection of my personal journey.

When I started my career in taxation, I believed tax was the most critical function in finance. However, transitioning to a startup environment made me realize that tax is important but not the sole critical aspect; other functions like FP&A, AP, AR, GL, and Treasury are equally vital. With each company switch, I found myself starting anew, relearning, and adapting to different practices and processes. Now, even after 8 years since earning my qualification, I’m still in a phase of learning and growth. This realization led me to create Workstation Finance—a community aimed at bridging knowledge gaps and providing insights into best practices. I realized I wasn’t alone; many other professionals like me were striving to upskill their careers and become the best versions of themselves.

Professionals, especially those in mid-career, come with the baggage of past experience, and while navigating their careers over time, they may miss what’s happening around the world or what the best practices are. So, while I was learning new skills, I thought it would be great to have a community where we connect and discuss all such topics, gain insights, and grow together. 🚀📈
